| About Kokopelli
Our founders share a common love of Southwestern culture and art and have a particular fondness for Kokopelli, the Hopi kachina flutist and trickster. It is believed that Kokopelli, whose exact origin is unclear and whose provenance and role are shrouded in myth and lore that have been passed down through centuries of legend and storytelling, started with the Anasazi culture two thousand years ago. Like Kokopelli, two of our principals are flutists. Kokopelli’s image as rock art originally conveyed a message we are unsure of today, but whether it’s communication with higher powers, calming music or conjuring up a prank, his iconic presence remains with us today.Organizations each have their own cultures and they are often awash in information of unclear provenance. At PelliGroup, we help our clients build and acquire the necessary tools for taking control of records and making it easier to access, use and manage, so they know what they have, where it is, what form it is in and how long they need to keep it. We like to think that Kokopelli helps us to stay focused and keep our sense of humor. | | |
